6. Af anthi Biith-Lechem daYehuda la huithi btzira daYehudah manki gir nfuq Mlaka daHu nraiuhi baMlaka lAmi Aiisrael. And you (fem) Biit-Lechem of Yehuda will not be the least of Yehuda because from you will rise a King who will shepherd among Kings to my people Israel.
(From the Aramaic gospel, Matthew 2:6)
Now here's the Scripture Matti is qouting (Septuagint version);
2. And thou, Bethleem, house of Ephratha, art few in number to be reckoned among the thousands of Yehuda; yet out of thee shall one come forth to me, to be a ruler of Israel; and his goings forth were from the beginning, even from eternity.
I have highlighted (in red) the parts of the Septuagint that are absent from the qoute of Micah nevia in the Gospel of Matti and as you can see it differs quite a bit therefore the Septuagint nor the Masoretic text is what Shlicha qouted, i'm guessing either Targumim or some other (extant) Aramaic Tanak is what they qouted from.
This was my first (of hopefully many) posts, shlama amkum we maran atha!
